Why can’t I limit all sharing?
Federal law gives you the right to limit only
- sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
- affiliates from using your information to market to you
- sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you
State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Affiliates
Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Western Alliance Bancorporation (WAL) affiliates include Bank of Nevada; Alliance Bank of Arizona, a division of Western Alliance Bank; Torrey Pines Bank; First Independent Bank, a division of Western Alliance Bank; Western Alliance Equipment Finance; Alliance Association Financial Services, a division of Bank of Nevada; and PartnersFirst, a division of Torrey Pines Bank. Affiliates do not share information to market to you.
Non-affiliates
Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
WAL affiliates do not share with non-affiliates so they can market to you.
Joint marketing
A formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
WAL affiliates do not jointly market with non-affiliated financial companies.
